How contests work
From upload to shop shelf

Create a creator account
Open Creator Studio, verify your account, and complete payout setup (PAN and bank or UPI details). You need this before you can submit.

Watch for an open edition
Each contest opens for submissions with a published window and a hard cap of 30 designs. When the edition fills, submissions close early.

Upload one original design
One entry per creator per edition. Use PNG, JPEG, or WebP (max 15 MB), at least 1800×600 px, white background, and a clear wrap-ready concept.

Pass review, then shortlist
Our jury checks brand fit, quality, and originality. Selected works go public on the contest page.

Community votes with a Like
During voting, signed-in shoppers cast one Like per drop. Likes on contest entries are votes - not a separate vanity metric. Winner subject to final brand and legal approval.

Winner goes to production
The winning mug is produced by Mug Factory and sold on Just Mugs. You earn the royalty rate published on that edition.

Voting vs likes - what actually counts
On a live contest, “Like” is the community vote: one signed-in account, one vote per drop, only during the voting window. Share links can deep-link to a design so friends sign in and return to vote. Portfolio likes elsewhere on the site are not contest votes.
How royalties work
Winners receive a fixed rupee royalty per mug sold on Just Mugs. The rate is shown on each contest edition page. Returns and refunds are excluded. Payouts run monthly above the minimum threshold once PAN and payout details are complete.
Production and fulfilment are handled by Mug Factory (custom printed mugs from Mug Factory). Just Mugs is the curated storefront - how the brands work together.

What is the Just Mugs design contest?
Just Mugs is a curated mug brand by Mug Factory in India. Each contest edition invites designers to submit one original mug wrap. After jury review and a shortlist, the community votes. The winner is produced and sold on justmugs.in with royalties on every qualifying sale.
How do I enter a mug design competition on Just Mugs?
Set up Creator Studio at justmugs.in/studio, complete payout details, then submit during an open edition from Contests. Each creator may enter one design per edition. Editions accept a maximum of 30 designs.
How many designs can I submit per contest?
One entry per creator per contest edition. Each edition also has a hard cap of 30 designs total across all creators. When that cap is reached, submissions close even if the calendar window remains open.
Do I get royalties if my mug design wins?
Yes. Winners earn a fixed royalty per mug sold on Just Mugs only. The rate is published on the contest drop page. Refunded or returned orders are excluded. Monthly payouts apply above the minimum threshold.
Is voting the same as liking a design?
Yes on a live contest: during the voting phase, Like is the community vote - one Like per signed-in user per drop, only inside the published voting window. Likes on portfolios or other shop pages do not count as contest votes. Fraudulent or automated votes may be removed.
Who prints and ships the mugs?
Mug Factory India prints, packs, ships, and supports every Just Mugs order from Bengaluru. Just Mugs is the brand and storefront; Mug Factory is the seller of record.
What file specs do you need for mug art?
PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 15 MB. Minimum 1800×600 px (about 2.42:1 wrap); we auto-fit to a 2400×990 JPEG print canvas at submit. Use a white background, safe margins, and one clear idea you fully own.
